The Provincial Government of Bataan starts drawing up plans in anticipation of any eventuality more particularly the heat wave that may hit the country anytime soon.
Governor Joet Garcia on March 18 met with various provincial government agencies specifically the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) at the Crown Royale Hotel to discuss preparations along with other agencies such as the Bataan DOST-PAGASA and LGUs. The weather agency laid out plans to implement following the onset of summer season from March to August.
Kloudtech disclosed that 12 automated weather systems are mounted in different parts of Bataan specifically to monitor the heat, rain, wind and other weather conditions obtaining in the province during the period. Gov. Joet tackled the latest development on Barangay Resilience Bingo Scorecard (BRBS) which measures and monitors the performance level of various villages in the provincial government’s resilience program.
As the meeting ends, a plaque of recognition from the National Resilience Council which was awarded to Bataan LGU was presented by the PDRRMC. The award was received by Board Member Popoy del Rosario during the Resilient Local Government Unit Program (RLGUP) Adopt-A-City Colloquium on March 17, 2025 at the MOA Square, Pasay City.
